This is just a great post for suggesting attractions in Disney fit for preschoolers. We're actually staying at Holiday Inn near Disney World so we can start our son's stimulating Disney adventure from our hotel.

Anytime I read a travel piece I am ready to book a ticket. I'm such a sucker for any cultural experience. Sounds amazing! I've done Europe, much of Asia, and North Africa. Hands down my favorite trip was a food and wine tour to Tuscany. Really had the time of my life and it's like every local is there to help you enjoy. Next trip you should check it out.

We are trying when to do our big trip next year. Don't really want to be anywhere near the Parks on T/G, but if we are going to have to start dealing w/football and school issues, that may be the week we have to come down.

I'll be hitting you up for tips if we do!

At least where I live the number one smart phone is the iPhone. How they claim to have a mobile application yet have no iPhone version is mind boggling to me (I have looked in iTunes for my iPod Touch).

I also agree about the lack of WiFi. When we travelled to Disney in February staying at Boardwalk Villas, we only brought our iPod touches which could not connect to the ethernet. We use wireless everywhere we go - libraries, Panera, airports, Borders, Starbucks, hotels, etc. Even our local hospital offers it complementary to patients and visitors.

When not at Disney, we will typically pick a hotel that has included WiFi. At least with the ethernet, DVC members get free internet (wired), but IMO for the cost of a deluxe room it should include internet. And WiFi would be nice for those of us who travel with multiple devices or mobile only devices.

Thanks for the post! We have yet to go to WDW during the Christmas season but would love to. I hear that there are all kinds of neat little holiday decorations and things to see within the resorts. I would love to check those out, especially the giant gingerbread house!

Donalds boat is a wet play area, but there is also a large covered play area outside of Donald's boat, in front of Mickey's house and the train station.

There is also a small play area in Frontierland underneath the train station near the Splash Mountain entrance. It is in a perfect location because our little one is too small for Thunder and Splash mountains, but she loves the play area.

In EPCOT, there is a play area at the exit to Mission Space, near the Mission COntrol training area. Another perfect location, since my little one can't ride Mission space either.

During the flower/garden festival, a play area is also temporarily set up near the rose garden area.

This sounds great! We missed the new parade this year because they were still hanging on to the Year of a Million Dreams in January. Hopefully, in February, they will keep the parade for the new celebration theme.

Thanks for this great article! Our son is only 6 months but I have no doubt that some day these spots will provide a great needed break for us when we are at WDW.

The play area in Toontown is Donald's Boat, I do believe, but I think it is wet.

Check out the maze in the United Kingdom pavilion at Epcot for some more fun.

Thanks, Sarah, for your post! I really enjoyed the photos and they really added some Disney to my Halloween.

We went to the Pirates and Princess Party once and I have to agree that it's worth the price just to walk on the attractions.
